Pokemon: Let's Go (Official Trailer)

After watching the trailer above for Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee! we are prepared to run out and buy ourselves a Nintendo Switch.

Players will return to the Kanto region and once again experience a classical Pokemon RPG experience.

The best feature to these games is that they allow players to incorporate Pokemon that they've caught through the mobile game Pokemon: Go as well. This will make trading Pokemon with friends super easy too; unlike the Gameboy days when cables were needed to pass the Pokemon back and forth between handhelds.

Another cool feature is that the games allow for two-player simultaneous play; two trainers are always better than one when it comes to battling tough Pokemon like Mewtwo.

The Poke Ball Plus controller will easily fly off the shelves too. Seriously who doesn't want to capture a Pokemon using an actual Poke ball? Then to have the ability to take that Pokemon on the go, and interact with from within the ball is just amazing. For more information on the Poke Ball Plus Click Here

Pokemon: Let's Go, Pikachu!, Pokemon: Let's Go, Eevee!, and Poke Ball Plus are all scheduled to hit stores on November 16, 2018.

Review - R2In22: Episode 1

Premiering last week was R2In22; a 22 minute podcast hosted by Andy, Mike, Adam, and Jen.

R2In22 includes current Star Wars headlines, game reviews / previews, The Clone Wars cartoon recaps, comic book coverage, and probably more than you'll ever want to know about Star Wars action figures.

This Week's Topics Included:

  • The Clone Wars Episode 19 'Massacre' Recap
  • Discussion of the 2012 Action Figure Line-up
  • Dawn of the Jedi Comic Book Review
  • The Old Republic Video Game Review
  • Top 10: Sith My Kids Say

This podcast runs smoothly from topic to topic, with an adequate amount of time spent on each subject; all four hosts are very knowledgeable in the Star Wars Galaxy; and it has a little something for everyone; be it if you're gamer, comic book enthusiast, or collector.

Although just to pick on Adam for a minute, during the discussion about the 2012 action figure line-up, Adam brought up that Mara Jade was the winner of the Fan's Choice Figure and that this would be the first time she'd be available other than in the old comic book pack, however he failed to remember this...

Now other than this little Mara misinformation, everything else was spot on and very detailed.

We give the first episode of R2In22 5 out of 5 Death Stars and look forward to the next podcast.

MEGACON 2011

Once a year the Sci-Fi, Anime, RPG, and Comic Book fans of Florida gather in Orlando to attend the annual Megacon Convention

The event runs for three days (Fri, Sat, Sun) and has appearances from both media and comic book artists. This year's main stars being William Shatner (Capt. Kirk; Star Trek) and the man himself Stan Lee (Comic Book Icon; creator of Spider-Man, Fantastic Four, X-Men).

There are photo opps, panels, an artist galley, a costume contest, anime events, gaming corner, lego displays, and of course the booths with everything imaginable for sale.

Unfortunately, we didn't get very many photos of our trip, apparently someone (Chris!) left the camera on and let the battery die and didn't recharge it, so all we got was five pics (one is kinda on the blurry side) but here they are folks...

Sadly those pics of the droids were only in the first ten feet of the display, we could have gotten another twenty pics, but on that third pic, the camera went "Goodbye"

Our stroll through the artist galley left us wondering how much wall space we can clear so we can start buying everything we see (and where are that money would come from to purchase).

But here are links to some of our favorites that we picked up cards for...
If you're looking for a new blog to read well we've found a good one while at Megacon as well...The Ghost Pig
All in all, we had a great time. Saw some awesome costumes, great artwork, glimpses of some of our favorite artists and media guests, and even got involved in some great debates.

If you attended Megacon and would like to share your experiences or share your pictures, then please feel free to leave us a comment, we'd love to hear from you.

Hope to see you all there next year (Feb. 17-19, 2012)
