Well this week's trip to the comic book store was short and sweet; and a couple of things we paid for we can't show you since they are Christmas presents and we wouldn't want to ruin somebody's surprise.
Countdown 16 & 17
Cyclops #1 of 4
Marvel Nemesis - The Imperfects #6 of 6
X-Men Legacy #243
Well that's it until next week, but remember if you have a question about an issue feel free to leave a comment and we'll get back with you as soon as we can.
And if we don't see you before Saturday, Merry Christmas!!! - GJ
No big surprise here but this issue is also filled with brief disappointing Jedi / Sith duels, the hope of finally seeing a more in depth story only to find out we're not going to get it, and an ending leaving us wanting more.
There are a few bright spots to this issue; okay really just one, and that's that once a Sith, always a Sith. Make sure you read the fine print when dealing with them or it may just cost a life or two.
Still overall if you're a fan of Star Wars, it's a brief series that does give us a glimpse of a long and forgotten time and those that lived it. So if you want a quick and decent read, then we do recommend picking up the Old Republic comics. -GJ
This was found while using our home bathroom. We know the picture is not of great quality and the glare from the tile didn't help any, but anyone out there want to guess what it is? Or what it appears to look like to them?
The above image is for the Star Wars 30th Anniversary Darth Revan action figure; a figure that was gobbled up by collectors and is now only available for purchase through them, and if you want it it's going to cost you.
But why? It's just a toy we're talking about here folks. This figure doesn't do anything special; it doesn't walk or talk on it's own, it's not a treasure map, nor is it going to tell you the meaning of life. It's just simply a toy.
What made this toy popular? Well it's a figure of the main character that appeared in the popular Bio-Ware produced Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic video game. See not really special.
Honestly this is one figure that alludes our collection here at The Galaxy Junkyard, and we would love to have it, but there isn't a staff member here willing to pay $80, heck it would be hard to get us to pay more than $10.
Sadly you can see people do attempt to pay these prices, and we are all guilty of such acts, but folks we have to remember, it's just a toy. -GJ
Another week, another trip to our faithful comic book store. Unfortunately due to Thanksgiving last week all new releases were pushed back a day, so we were unable to purchase anything new; on the bright side, we still capitalized on the Free Comics promotion.
