Finished reading the new Star Wars novel "Death Troopers" by Joe Schreiber and absolutely enjoyed it.
Death Troopers is the first Star Wars novel to cross over into the Horror genre, and provided a more adult theme. Joe Schreiber paints a very desolate scene aboard the prison barge Purge and creates an unforgettable cast of humans, creatures, and the living dead.
The story also contains two of the saga's greatest icons. We won't ruin the surprise by telling you who, but if you've seen screen shots for the upcoming Death Troopers expansion pack for the Star Wars Galaxies game, then you pretty much know already.

When the Imperial prison barge Purge - temporary home to five hundred of the galaxy's most ruthless killers, rebels, scoundrels, and thieves - breaks down in a distant, uninhabited part of space, its only hope appears to lie with a Star Destroyer found drifting, derelict, and seemingly abandoned.
