One Trailer, Several Complaints

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last couple of years, you've heard about the new Star Trek movie, and recently have probably seen the first trailers.

If you're a normal movie goer who enjoys the occasional Sci-Fi flick you didn't see anything wrong with this movie, but true Trek fans have already begun pointing out mistakes.

The biggest mistake/complaint is the relationship between Captain James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto). The problem is Spock appears to work under Capt. Kirk to start his career, however this is incorrect because Spock was under Capt. Chris Pike prior to Kirk. For those of you that missed it though, Capt. Pike does actually appear in this film, in what capacity is yet to be seen.

This other complaint is a little ridiculous even for us. People are actually complaining about the insignias on the shirts. For some it's the wrong insignia (a complaint we've read on several forums), and for others it's the fact that the insignia appears on the wrong side of the shirt in a couple of quick shots.

Others spend good amounts of time making sure that everyone knows the new actors look nothing like the originals and they're not happy about it.

A two minute trailer gives us all this; can't wait until the actual movie. - GJ

The Best Star Trek Series Is...

Your guess is a good as ours. Every person has their own opinion about which Trek series they feel is the best. For those of us stationed here at the post, we're kinda leaning towards the Next Generation series.

Don't get us wrong, we do enjoy several episodes from the different Trek series; well we have yet to find a single episode that we care for from the Enterprise series.

It just seems that the Next Generation series has better storylines and characters that we seem to be able to relate to. Plus Data keeps us laughing and we enjoy that.

So lets here your arguments for the best Trek series.
