And Another Thing...

So I know it's a little late, but I'm just now getting around to writing my review to "And Another Thing..." by Eoin Colfer.

This story is a continuation to the classic "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" by Douglas Adams.

To be honest, it's nice to see some of sci-fi's greatest characters back together again; although for whatever reason, Mr. Colfer left out the best character in the entire series, Marvin the robot. So not cool.

The story itself wasn't half bad, but any story featuring the God of Thunder Thor wouldn't be.

There was however a big downfall. Mr. Colfer is not Mr. Adams and he seemed to just try a little too hard with inserting the jokes into every single line. The "Guide" insertions were also a big waste of time for the most part; they really didn't do anything but distract from the story.

To be fair to Mr. Colfer, this is the first novel of his that I've read, and I am willing to give him another try to entertain me.

When all is said and done, if you took the time to read the entire "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy" then you should at least take the time to check this book out of the library.
