To The Comic Book Store #114

Arrived at the comic book store this week and walked right into the middle of two heated debates; one focusing around the recent Thor 2: The Dark World trailer, and the other about the number of mutants appearing in the upcoming X-Men: Days of Future Past film.

Had to steer away from the debate over the Thor 2 trailer because, well after listening for five minutes it became apparent that the entire discussion was focusing solely on Loki's hair, and with no women around, this was just kinda weird.

The X-Men: Days of Future Past discussion was an interesting debate; some arguing that the film is trying to include far too many mutants, some saying not enough, two guys kept referring back to X3: The Last Stand and how there was so much wasted potential with the various mutants that were no more than background fillers, and then there was the single guy who believes that Bryan Singer is some sort of God and can't do no wrong and that X3 would have been successful with Singer at the helm. Kid you not this guy literally said "Singer is a God and you guys can suck it" somewhere between ten to twenty times.

These Would Be My Avengers

Over on Twitter, user @JimxSabo asked for suggestions of Marvel characters to make up a new Avengers team.

Well to help him out I sent him a list of six characters that I would put on my team.

Moon Knight	Gambit
Korg	Lifeguard
Lylla	Human Robot

I still haven't decided if I'd go with Moon Knight or Gambit as team leader, but either man would make a fine choice in my opinion.

To The Comic Book Store #26

Just when one thinks they are making progress catching up on one's comics, Free Comic Book Day at our local comic book store, Coliseum of Comics, just happens to roll around again (actually if you haven't realized this happens every Wednesday).

But this week I was well prepared; First I was able to acquire Eight (8) free comics, and then used my stamp card provided via the store which was in the amount of $10 which allowed me to pick up a grab bag with ten comics, one new release, and three from the $1 bin.

And of course without further delay, here they all are...
