Young Justice: Outsiders (Official Trailer)

Finally after five years Young Justice season 3 is on its way! Young Justice: Outsiders is set to air on the DC Universe Streaming Service in 2019.

New faces, old faces, Young Justice: Outsiders is expected to be a blast. It was also noted that being on a streaming service has allowed the show to stray into a more adult setting; which suits the main demographic of Young Justice viewers.

Are you ready to finally get some closure on season 2 events? Yes, me too!

Titans (Official Trailer) **NSFW**

Um...well, yeah, there you go ladies and gentleman, DC's Titans. Are you excited? Yeah, me neither.

This could not have been a worse idea for DC and Warner Bros. whom have already been under fire for their products being too dark to commit too.

First, Robin there is supposed to be Dick Grayson, instead he acts like Jason Todd (also rumored to appear at some point in the series). Dick wasn't a killer.

Raven is too open about sharing her feelings, Starfire looks like a hooker that ignites all over, and Beast Boy, well Beast Boy is green and that's pretty much all we know. Pretty sure we've all seen better looking cosplayers at any given comic convention.

Have seen many questioning if this trailer was even real, because there are better fan made trailers out there. Honestly, I felt like I was watching a trailer for another Kick@$$ film.

Not expecting Titans to go further than a single season.

Titans airs sometime this Fall, exclusively on the DC Universe Streaming Service.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part (Teaser Trailer)

Warner Bros. Pictures has released their first official teaser trailer for The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part.

Dark Times have fallen on the good citizens of Bricksburg, and things don't look like they will be getting better any time soon. But one LEGO man has managed to keep positive and still believe everything is awesome; that one LEGO man is Emmet (Chris Pratt). With the help of Lucy (Elizabeth Banks), LEGO Batman (Will Arnett), Unikitty (Alison Brie), and others, Emmet must save the day once again.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is expected in theaters February 8, 2019.

LEGO DC Super-Villains (Announce Trailer)

LEGO has announced a new DC Super-Villains game. LEGO games usually tend to be a very entertaining and fun experience for players of all ages.

Let's also be honest, are we all not tired of playing as the good guys? Wouldn't you rather be causing chaos as the Joker, Harley Quinn, or any of the other various villains of the DC universe?

LEGO DC Super-Villains is set to land on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 16, 2018.

Suicide Squad (SDCC Trailer)

Honestly we're only excited for this movie because we finally get to see Harley Quinn on the big screen (that and the action figure they'll be releasing for her).

Still not overly impressed with the look of Jared Leto's Joker either.

Review: LEGO Batman: The Penguin Face Off

If you're looking for a fun, simple, LEGO set than you honestly can't go wrong with LEGO Superheroes 76010 Batman: The Penguin Face Off
Now this probably looks like a lot of little pieces, but it's really not. This set can be built in less than 15 minutes; probably less if you don't have issues with the torpedo installation as we did.
(Honestly this as far as this torpedo will go)

When it comes to Mini Figures, LEGO never disappoints; well normally. The Batman mini figure is top notch; great detail, mobility, a true mini figure. The Penguin mini figure on the other hand is a different story. The detail is there, however Penguin's legs are a solid immobile piece, and when you add his umbrella and remote, he falls over! Do enjoy the fact that they did make sure he was at least shorter than Batman.
This is a shot of Batman's Scuba Vehicle completed; note that the torpedoes are to be launched by flicking the back end (however with our particular set, this ain't happening because those things are jammed in there good).
But on the plus side, Batman looks pretty awesome on it.
Who doesn't love the Duck Boat? And again, so quick and easy to build (also has working flick torpedoes).
Duck Boat also allows for a place to stand Penguin with the umbrella and remote in tow.
Additional building pieces allow for you to build two of Penguin's infamous dynamite packing penguins and a small little snow cap with diamond. Also included in the set is a spear gun for Batman's use.
For an overall score, we'd give this set a 4 out of 5. A wonderful addition to any LEGO Batman collection.

Beware The Batman Placed On Hiatus

Cartoon Network has announced that DC Comics' Beware The Batman has been placed on hiatus until January 2014. For fans of other DC shows like Green Lantern and Young Justice they know all to well what that means, Batman your time is done.

Beware The Batman will indeed air in January, but after it's remaining season's episodes air, the show will inevitably be done, cancelled like many other DC shows.

But the question now is why has this happened to Beware The Batman? It's Batman, how can fans not love this show enough for Cartoon Network to keep producing it? Well let's look at some of the reasons...

  • It's seems that it isn't always about numbers with Cartoon Network. Young Justice was one of the network's top rated shows and yet, was pulled an hour before air and placed on hiatus, which eventually lead to cancellation without any warning whatsoever.
  • Being that the show is entirely CGI may also have factored in, for it costs more money to produce each episode.
  • The show itself wasn't as exciting or grabbing as previous versions of Batman. The storyline was merely okay, the villains were lackluster at best.

The one bright side for Beware The Batman was the change in Alfred; not just being a mere butler but a butler with a military background and still having the physique to put that background to good use.

With yet another DC show biting the big one it's time to start pondering if the relationship between DC and Cartoon Network isn't beginning to show signs of deteriorating.

What do you guys think is it possible that Beware The Batman can be saved? Will you even miss this show once it's gone?

Possible Justice League Movie Problem

So here's the problem I have with DC Comics' not even started Justice League film...

Member Characteristic Review

Superman

Obviously with Man of Steel just being released, a sequel already planned, and Justice League to follow that, it only makes since that Henry Cavill will be reprising the role of Superman, and this is where things go wrong. This Superman is not the usual goody-two-shoe boyscout we all grew up with in the comics, no this version is darker, willing to kill, and not too worried about collateral damage.

Green Arrow

It makes sense to have Green Arrow appear in a Justice League film, especially when you know the character has been well received on the small screen with the hit series Arrow, and Stephen Amell (the guy currently under the green hood) has already said he wants in. Personally would love to see this Green Arrow move from small screen to big, except that this archer is darker than his usual self and has no problem killing even when it could have been avoided.

Batman

Batman has always been a darker character than the other Justice League members, though he doesn't kill unnecessarily, and would rather work alone than with a team.

Currently we don't have a Batman actor since Christian Bale said he's through playing the Caped Crusader, but we also don't have a Flash, Wonder Woman, Martian Manhunter, or Cyborg, all of whom could be included in a Justice League film as well. But if you look at the three ready to appear characters, you can easily see that there isn't really a balance amongst them, they're really just the same character in a different outfit, and that's a problem.

Unfortunately that either means they have to forgo adding Green Arrow (or at least Amell's Arrow), or rewrite a character, which at this point would be be a very dangerous maneuver in of its self.

So the question now is how does DC resolve this problem, due they even see this as a problem? Or do we just go ahead and create darker versions of Flash, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the League and just go the route already started?

Beware The Batman (Trailer)

Always ready and willing to check out a new Batman series, but to be honest, I hate this type of animation; hence why I didn't really care for the recent Green Lantern cartoon.

Beware The Batman premieres July 13 at 10AM on the Cartoon Network.
