So this week's run to the comic book store was a tad bit on the disappointing side.

Why?

Well apparently as it turns out, I'm broke.

Oh well at least I was still able to pick up some free comics.


And that's it for this week. No WildC.A.T.S. action figures, still no Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic, or anything else new and exciting.

The important part though is I had fun, and that's what really counts.

To The Comic Book Store #35

Now don't get me wrong, I can't wait to see the new Captain America movie, but seriously there are other things to talk about; though no other topics were discussed tonight.

Main point of CA discussion was a woman's dislike of her husband's CA / Dallas Cowboys crossover t-shirt. It went on the full twenty minutes I was there.

Had to stay within budget this week and since there wasn't anything that tickled my fancy, it wasn't too hard to stay with the free comics this week.

Fifteen minutes; that has got to be some kind of record or something (well for me anyways). That is the length of time I spent in the comic book store tonight. I know, I must be getting sick or something.

Due to inclement weather the place was nearly deserted, and the bins had just been refilled so there was plenty of great comics to choose from and no one to get in my way.

Due to the lack of new releases this week and my lack of interest in DC's Flashpoint I didn't buy anything new, but here is what I walked out with for free...

To The Comic Book Store #23

This week's run to the comic book store was, as usual, not a disappointment. Yes it was crowded around the free comics and we had to wait to get near, but we're use to this, plus it gives us time to browse the rest of the store.

Note to self, stay away from the Warhammer 40K stuff.

We also got to hear a great conversation about whether or not there should be Dune comic books?

Sadly though we wanted to pick up one new comic and they were already sold out. This is a give and take situation; we didn't get the comic but it appears to be gaining popularity so it won't be shelved anytime soon.

However we did come away with some good free issues, check'em out below.
