To The Comic Book Store #56
Not only did we walk out of our local comic book store (Coliseum of Comics) with free comics this week, but we were also able to meet the creative team behind The Ultimate 7; Robert Wawrzyniak (Creator/Writer) and Shawn Surface (Pencils/Illustrator).
The guys were not only nice enough to sign copies of The Ultimate 7 but were more than willing to discuss the series and it's future in great detail; give you an opportunity to pick up issue 3 a week in advance (hits shelves 12/14/11); and Shawn Surface was also ready and willing to do a free commission pencil sketch. A good time was had by all.

To The Comic Book Store #29
Could it be Wednesday already? Why yes, yes it is.
This weeks trip was pretty much uneventful, so we'll just jump right into what we came away with...

To The Comic Book Store #28
How did it get to be Wednesday already? Not that I'm complaining, I like Wednesday, it's free comic book day down at my local Coliseum of Comics, I just want to know where the time goes these days.
Anyways...here is what we picked up this week...

To The Comic Book Store #25
Trips to the comic book store are always entertaining. This week though, it's the employees that looked like the fools.
Why you may ask, well you see there is this little movie called Priest (out May 13th) that a customer asked if they had the comic for that it was based off of and nobody knew what he was talking about. Ok yes Priest was a graphic novel and not a comic, but four store employees (including the "comic specialist") never even heard of Priest. Sorry but that's sad.
Okay so now for what I picked up this week...

Well that's if for this week, any questions?

To The Comic Book Store #23
This week's run to the comic book store was, as usual, not a disappointment. Yes it was crowded around the free comics and we had to wait to get near, but we're use to this, plus it gives us time to browse the rest of the store.
Note to self, stay away from the Warhammer 40K stuff.
We also got to hear a great conversation about whether or not there should be Dune comic books?
Sadly though we wanted to pick up one new comic and they were already sold out. This is a give and take situation; we didn't get the comic but it appears to be gaining popularity so it won't be shelved anytime soon.
However we did come away with some good free issues, check'em out below.
