Now there are plenty of other Star Wars: Resistance characters that deserve their own action figures - plus the Aces need their racers and of course Kaz needs the Fireball - but those listed above are the characters that we feel wouldn't spend a whole lot of time warming pegs.

Bumblebee (Official Trailer)

Paramount Pictures has released the first official trailer for their upcoming Bumblebee movie.

Personally can't say we are all that thrilled to be getting yet another Transformers film, let alone a prequel to the established franchise, but here we are.

Bumblebee stars WWE Superstar John Cena, and actress Hailee Steinfeld and will be directed by Travis Knight.

One thing we did see that made us smile was the quality of the Decepticon Starscream; finally getting his classic look back.

Bumblebee drives into theaters this Christmas.

First Thoughts: Hasbro's Rogue One U-Wing

A couple of days ago our friends over at From 4-LOM to Zuckuss.com gave us our first look at Rogue One's U-Wing from Hasbro; and today we are ready to share our first thoughts after seeing the reveal.

First thing above all else is the fact that it's another Nerf missile gun. For some this is great, for those like us, it's a meh feature. Hopefully with the U-Wing being a smaller craft the Nerf gun will be removable.

Size, now there's another problem. The U-Wing is not a single pilot starfighter, it's a troop transport, and at first look, this toy doesn't look like it'll hold more than a single figure in the cockpit area (hopefully, if you recall, The Force Awakens X-Wing failed to fit a figure in it's cockpit).

Don't worry, there are positives amongst our first thoughts. Like, good grief that U-Wing design is amazing! Yes it's another ship that isn't made to scale, but the overall design is something we love. Second, the Cassian Andor action figure (with blaster) looks pretty neat too.

The U-Wing is rumored to retail in the neighborhood of $50, and may or may not be available on Force Friday (9/30).

That Elusive Action Figure

Everybody has one, that one action figure that no matter what you do, you just can't seem to find it within your grasp.

Oh it's not because you didn't try either. You've spent time getting up early to be there when the Toys 'R Us or Target store opens, hounded the overnight stockers at Wal-Mart to open the boxes they just pulled out from the back, and gone from one corner of your state (or country) to the other in search of that one figure, that one holy grail.

That ever elusive action figure for me is of course the Star Wars Expanded Universe Darth Revan figure from Hasbro. Sure I could go on eBay or Amazon and pay $40-$100+ on one, but let's be honest here, the figure was $8.99 when first released, can I actually justify spending that kind of cash?

Oh how sweet he looks, but seriously there's no way I'm spending that kind of cash. Possibly $20, but that's still pushing it too.

Now I ask you, what figure has eluded your collection, and at what cost would you go to have it within your grasp?

End Of Our Star Wars Action Figure Collecting

With great sadness it has become apparent that we have reached the end of a long traveled road; we have finally given up hope and thrown in the towel; our Star Wars action figure collection has reached it's peak.

Yes on a rare occasion we may pick up a figure here or there, but no more will we go out of our way in search of our precious Star Wars action figures.

Here are the reasons for our madness...

• First and probably the most important reason, PRICE. Back when figures again hit shelves in the mid-90s $5.99-$6.99 wasn't great, but at today's $10.99 we'd give up an arm to go back to those prices. The figure size and number of accessories have remained constant, as has package size, so what are we now paying for? Different artists to do the packaging? The figures to have articulation (which with some of the new waves there is less of)?
• Due to Hasbro's wonderful distribution procedures new figures are dang near impossible to find in stores. We all have looked at the exact same figures, on the exact same peg, in some cases for over 8 months. For sanity's sake we started to rearrange the pegs and turn figures backwards just so the spot doesn't look the same every time we go to our local Target, Wal-Mart, or Kmart.
• The final wave of 2012 being an ONLINE ONLY wave also contributes largely to our decision. Granted their is one, maybe two figures we want out of the line, this is still just too ridicules. This is also where price comes in again. We are already paying out the butt for figures on eBay and Amazon, but the retailers that carry Star Wars figures online, start their pricing out at $28, $30, $35 as well. What makes this final wave worth that price?!?! Do they walk or talk???

Yes hobbies, collections, are expensive, but we all need to keep in mind that these are kid's toys. Toys that if collectors can't get their grubby hands on, kids have no hope of ever seeing or playing with.

If Hasbro loses their licensing and/or someone that knows what they're doing over there is put in charge, we may (doubtful though) pickup collecting full time again.

Look Who Scored Republic Commando Boss

After six months of seeing the exact same figures, in the exact same peg spot, finally, finally, our local Wal-Mart had some of the wave 2 Clone Wars figures.

And sitting up front and center the only figure of the Clone Wars series that we've been interested in, Republic Commando Boss.

Joining the only Boss figure, was a single Aayla Secura, and Captain Rex. Though this may not seem like a big deal to some, to many of us who scour the toy shelves every chance we get, this is a pretty big deal.

Upon the search also came across two figures that were very disappointing; on Darth Maul cards, there were Saga Legends figures, Darth Vader and Phantom Menace Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Not a fan of these figures. Their big feature is that you press on the center of their belt and the lightsaber, which is built into their hand, lights up. The lightsaber being built in not only removes the availability of articulation in that arm, but also limits what you can do with the figure since you can't remove it either. Built in lightsabers wasn't a popular idea when Kenner did it with the very first wave of Star Wars figures, and it's not a popular one today.

Battleship - Trailer 2

Who didn't grow up playing Battleship? Well now it comes to the big screen, aliens and all. Wait, in what version of the game were there aliens?

You know what, that doesn't matter, we love aliens, and this film actually looks promising. Or at the very least will provide us with a break from the ups and downs of a busy work day.

So far the only real flaw we've found with this film, is Rihanna. Seriously people, Rihanna? There are far too many others that can't act that we'd love to see before Rihanna. Oh well, may be she won't last long.

So who's gearing up for this one?
